Scopes of Practice

In order to meet the requirements of Section 11 of the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the Podiatrists Board has gazetted and adopted five scopes of practice for the profession, and the qualification specifications for each scope.

The five scopes of practice are: Podiatrist, Podiatric Surgeon, Podiatric Radiographic Imager, Podiatric Prescriber (pending prescribing rights being granted by NPAC) and Visiting Podiatrist Educator.
