What do Podiatrists do?

Podiatrists specialise in the diagnosis, treatment, prevention and rehabilitation of the lower limb. This can range from treating sports injuries, orthotic (biomechanical) therapy to improving walking and running, diabetic complications, arthritic problems, general foot conditions, footwear advice, as well as nail and skin surgery.

Working Conditions: Podiatrists usually work regular business hours in clinics but may also work in hospitals, rest homes, shoe shops and the marae.
